Ahmed Ran

Ahmed Ran is a research project management and business development professional with demonstrated experience in private sector development research, monitoring and evaluation in Somalia, Kenya, and Uganda.

As a business development Manager for Tigaal, he is responsible for overseeing the successful completion of private sector focused research projects, leading the partnership and business development of the firm. Under various assignments his primary responsibilities include data collection management; data quality assurance; qualitative and quantitative data analysis; and writing final reports/producing deliverables for clients.

Previously Mr. Ran has provided business development support to Kampala based SME, Excel Hort, assisting in identifying market linkage and offering marketing assistance to the Ugandan market for their agro-based products. Other relevant experiences include operating as a Commercial Business Analyst for the Greater European market on behalf of Cummins Power Generation. Mr. Ran holds a Bachelor Degree in International Business from Kingston University and is fluent in English, Somali and conversational in Danish.
