Senior Policy Analyst
Mohamed Sharif is a peacebuilding and programme development practitioner, analyst, and policy researcher with over eight (8) years of hands-on experience in programmes development and evaluating multi-sector and multi-donor programmes as well as conducting research on various thematic areas.
Mohamed has extensive knowledge and understanding of the Horn of Africa region’s political, security, conflict and socioeconomic dynamics, particularly in Somalia, based on over five years of research and analysis.
He has managed and led multi-sector and multi-stakeholder programmes and studies ranging from peacebuilding, governance, policy research, rule of law and access to justice, legal and policy frameworks, vulnerable groups protection, safety, and security with a variety of international partners and local organisations, including but not limited to the International Development Law Organisation (IDLO), Somali Public Agenda, Rift Valley Institute, Legal Action Worldwide (LAW), Life & Peace Institute, and USAID-funded programmes such as Expanding Acess to Justice (EAJ), among others. Mohamed currently serves as a Senior Policy analyst and Consultant at TIGAAL and contributes to our research portfolio, Program Design and Development and Governance and Rule of Law. He is also a certified trainer and fellow of the Generation Change Fellowship Program of the United States Institute of Peace (USIP).
