Mohamed is a researcher with over 10 years of hands-on experience in the areas of post-conflict justice, local government, and peacebuilding with a variety of partners in Somalia.

He worked with international and Local think tanks like Rift Valley Institute, served as a consultant for Federal Government institution such as the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, National Humanitarian Coordination Center. Until recently, Mohamed worked with American Bar Association Rule of Law iniative (ABAROLI) as a Communication Manager.

He also did M & E with international agencies, including the International Development Law Organization (IDLO). Mohamed has a special focus on transitional justice, social policy (safety net), post-conflict state-building, democratization, and the Rule of Law. In addition, Mohamed has technical expertise in developing Operational Manual for national scale projects such as Baxnaano, design-and systems-thinking for policy issues, putting in place innovative solutions that enable teams in protracted crises to better collaborate across sectors, institutionalizing digital tools, models, platforms, and partnerships for improving people’s lives, mainstreaming core aspects of gender, social inclusion, conflict sensitivity, and rights-based programming to bridge local needs and national development priorities. Mohamed currently strategically leads the program initiation and implementation of Tigaal.
Mohamed has a Master of Public Administration in Social and Public Policy from the University of York, Heslington, England.
